BCSS of Berks County Announces Newly Appointed Board Member

Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County (BCSS) is pleased to announce that Susan Stalnecker has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors. The staff and volunteers congratulate and welcome Sue to the BCSS family.

Mrs. Stalnecker is currently a fundraising consultant for The Heritage Resident Benefit Fund. She was previously the Development & Public Relations Administrator for Prospectus Associates, Inc. Sue has over 20 years’ of experience in the non-profit arena, having also worked for Opportunity House, the Easter Seal Society, and the American Heart Association. Prior to joining the BCSS Board of Directors she was a volunteer, co-chairing the organization’s fund development committee.

With Sue’s appointment to the Board of Directors she will assume the role of Chairperson for the fund development committee where she will utilize her skills and experience to lead the strategic initiatives of the committee. She will work with the Executive Director to develop sources of income that will enable BCSS to remain financially stable and strong while delivering hope, information and emotional support to every person affected by breast cancer.

Prior to joining the BCSS Board of Directors Sue volunteered with the Berks County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), serving as a Board Member from 2009-2019, she was the Board President from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, she is a 2008 Leadership Berks graduate and is a very active member of the Flying Dutchmen Ski Club. Sue is married to Allen, has two children and four grandchildren whom she enjoys visiting and spending time with.
