Supporters of Hope Rescue Mission gathered at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Reading to celebrate the work that has been accomplished in the past year. Among the achievements recognized were the opening of two new programs and a new partnership.
LightHouse Women and Children’s Center, a place for single women and women with children to get back on their feet after experiencing the trauma of homelessness, opened this past year.
HopeHouses, off-site transitional housing and permanent supportive housing to guests of the Mission and the LightHouse who have successfully progressed through their on-site residential programs, also opened this past year.
Hope Rescue Mission also celebrated their partnership with Pennsylvania Adult and Teen Challenge (PAATC) and the opening of the newest Naaman Center in Berks County located within Hope Rescue Mission’s Men’s Center.

There was also acknowledgement of longtime volunteer, Jerry Broskey, who was awarded the David H. Roland Award for his dedication to serving the men at Hope Rescue Mission as a Life Coach.
“We have had a busy year filled with exciting new changes for Hope Rescue Mission. They all involve helping those in need to be restored to a healthy, productive life,” said Rob Turchi, CEO of Hope Rescue Mission.
