The Penn State Berks Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee will hold its annual International Thanksgiving dinner on Monday, Nov. 13, in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. This event is open to Penn State Berks students, faculty, and staff.

Attendees were asked to register for the dinner no later than Nov. 5, as seating is limited.

The purpose of the dinner is to introduce international students to this traditional U.S. holiday. The dinner will feature a traditional U.S. Thanksgiving meal prepared by Penn State Berks Housing and Food Services. International students will learn the history and evolution of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. In addition, students will present poems and insights on what Thanksgiving means to them.

For more information, contact the coordinators of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, Alexa Hodge ([email protected]) and Aubrey Edwards ([email protected]).
