Humane Pennsylvania Celebrates National Change A Pet’s Life Day By Hosting Fee-Waived Adoption Event
Hi there! I’m Soupy, a 3-year-old neutered male Labrador retriever mix breed. I was originally a stray from Louisiana so my past is a mystery. What’s known for sure is how playful I am! I have lots and lots of energy and love to play with my toys. Interested in meeting with me? Stop by today!

Humane Pennsylvania is celebrating National Change A Pet’s Life Day with a four-day, fee-waived adoption event, generously sponsored by Silverbox Creative Studio. Change A Pet’s Life Day, which falls on Jan. 24, was created to encourage people to adopt pets from shelters and raise awareness about animals in need. From Wednesday, Jan. 24 to Saturday, Jan. 27, dogs, cats, and critters at the Berks and Lancaster County shelter campuses will be free to safe, loving homes.

Adopters wishing to provide a forever home for shelter animals are encouraged to visit the shelter campuses or HumanePA.org. All potential adopters are required to go through Humane Pennsylvania’s diligent adoption screening process (approval is not guaranteed). Some restrictions may apply. Pets under six months of age are not included in this promotion.

Meet Peanut, a sweet 1-year-old spayed female. Originally found as a stray, Peanut’s past is a mystery, but her time in the finder’s home revealed glimpses of her sweet personality. While initially a bit nervous, once she feels at ease, Peanut transforms into a true sweetheart. Though not exposed to children, Peanut made attempts to befriend another cat, showcasing her friendly nature. Could you be the one to give Peanut the forever home she deserves?
