Join Berks Alliance for its Spotlight on Connections Work

by Berks Alliance

Berks Alliance will host a Zoom webinar entitled “Spotlight on Connections Work” on Thursday, May 30 from noon to 1 p.m.

During the height of the social justice movement of the 1970s, the Berks County Prison Society was established as a grassroots, volunteer-driven initiative to provide connections between individuals in the Berks County Jail to mentors from the community. Flash forward almost 50 years and that organization, known as Berks Connections/Pretrial Services since 2005 and newly rebranded to Connections Work has grown to serve thousands of individuals annually establishing themselves as Berks County’s leader in the provision of services to individuals with justice system involvement.

Join us to learn about their programs and services, their impact on our community, and some exciting ways they have expanded their mission. Connections Work is poised to serve even more Berks Countians in the years to come through an expansion of their target population and by providing services to other non-profits, educational institutions, and employers who seek a way to further support and lift up their clients, students, and employees.
