June is Cancer Survivor Month, and Berks Community Health Center is hosting a community event to celebrate with the survivors.

The event will be on Tuesday, June 25, at BCHC’s 838 Penn St. location from 4-7 p.m. Over a dozen other non-profits and community partners will have resource tables, including the American Cancer Society, Council on Chemical Abuse (COCA), Planned Parenthood, Breast Cancer Support Services, Home Services, Inc., UPMC, and more. Members of BCHC’s staff will also be present, offering information on how to minimize risk for a variety of cancers. There will be light snacks and refreshments. At 6 p.m., attendees will receive encouragement and inspiration from Lynn Eib, a survivor, best-selling author, and passionate encourager who has spent decades facilitating cancer support groups. Lynn’s talk is titled “Laughter as Healing Medicine” and will be humorous, inspiring, and encouraging.

All are welcome to attend. For more information, visit berkschc.net/cancerevent.

For an appointment at any of BCHC’s locations, please call (610)988-4838.
