Humane Pennsylvania’s 48th Annual Walk for the Animals

From Humane Pennsylvania

Humane Pennsylvania (Humane PA) is excited to share that the Walk for the Animals is back! This year marks the 48th annual Walk for the Animals, and it’s happening on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Berks County Fairgrounds, 1216 Hilltop Road, Leesport. Registration starts at 10 a.m., and the walk starts at 11 a.m.

Last year’s Star Wars Day celebration was a huge hit, so this year, the saga continues with a brand-new theme: The Empire Bites Back! Get ready to break out your Han Solo costume, twist up those Princess Leia buns, dress your dog as Chewbacca, and come to the bark side for another epic, tail-wagging adventure!

Take a leisurely one-mile stroll with your pup, family, and friends — all at your own pace — while supporting our mission and the animals who rely on us. Then, stick around for the fun! Enjoy live music from Perfect Strangers, local vendors, exciting games, tail-wagging dog contests presented by WEEU, and delicious bites from local food trucks, including Smokehouse BBQFirehouse CoffeeFresh Frenchy’s, and Viking Lodge 735 Potato Spuds!

Admission for the walk is free, but your registration helps save the lives of thousands of animals in need! Register online (adults $30/kids $20) to reserve your exclusive, one-time-only, Star Wars Walk for the Animals t-shirt featuring brand new artwork of HPA’s beloved mascots dressed as your favorite classic characters! Upgrade to a VIP Walker for just $75, and receive a dog bandana, free all-you-can-eat buffet, beer and wine garden, and more! Walkers who pledge to raise more than $250 to save lives will receive their very own walk sweatshirt and exclusive Humane PA swag. Please note that registrations received after April 18 are not guaranteed an event t-shirt.
