From Discovery Federal Credit Union
Discovery Federal Credit Union is proud to participate once again in the Home4Good program, a regional initiative that supports housing stability for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their homes. In 2025, the program awarded a total of $8.394 million to 110 housing stability projects across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia.
Home4Good is administered by FHLBank Pittsburgh in partnership with state housing finance agencies. This year, FHLBank Pittsburgh committed $6 million to the initiative, with an additional $2.394 million contributed by housing finance agencies in the three-state region.
Through Discovery FCU’s participation, several organizations serving the Reading and Berks County community received funding to support critical homelessness prevention and diversion efforts, including:
- PA 211 East – $50,000 to support 2-1-1 Homeless Prevention and Diversion services.
- New Journey Community Outreach – $65,000 for the Community Table Meal Program.
- Berks Coalition to End Homelessness – $75,000 for the Berks Rapid Diversion Program.
- Reading/Berks County Continuum of Care Administration – $10,000.

Home4Good allows us to support trusted local organizations doing life-changing work in the community we serve.”
Across the three-state region, the Home4Good program received 116 applications in 2025 and was able to fund nearly all of them, reflecting both the growing need for housing support and the strength of collaboration among financial institutions, housing agencies, and nonprofit partners.
Discovery FCU has a long-standing commitment to community impact and continues to support initiatives that address real, everyday challenges facing local families. The credit union looks forward to continuing its participation in the Home4Good program in 2026.
