The Berks County Parks and Recreation Department continues to present programs promoting nature, history, and outdoor activity throughout the month of February 2026.

Sunday, Feb. 1 | Full Moon Snowshoe | 6 p.m. @ Berks Leisure Area
Enjoy a snowshoe walk down the Union Canal Trail with park staff. In the event we don’t have snow, we’ll still look at snowshoes and then go for a hike on foot on the trail.
Free. | Registration is required.

Saturday, Feb. 7 | Winter Wellness Walk | 9 a.m. @ Berks Leisure Area
Join park staff as we get out on the Union Canal Trail to enjoy an hour-long brisk walk with like-minded friends. Wear walking shoes or other appropriate footwear and dress accordingly.
Free. | Registration is suggested.

Tuesday, Feb. 10 | Trail Tales | 10 a.m. @ Berks Heritage Center
Get wrapped up in a trail tale and discover plants and animal friends in our parks. Geared towards children ages 3 to 5.
Free. | Registration is required.

Wednesday, Feb. 11 | Junk Journaling Part 2 | 6 p.m. @ Berks Heritage Center
Join us for this workshop series to learn the art of junk journaling.
Free. | Registration is required.

Wednesday, Feb. 18 | Winter Tree Walk | 9 a.m. @ Angora Fruit Farm
Come with us as we get to know our favorite natural friends in a different light (or in this case, season). This program is geared towards adults, but all are welcome.
Free. | Registration is required.

Saturday, Feb. 28 | Maple Sugaring | 10 a.m. @ Gring’s Mill
Learn how to identify the right kinds of trees to tap and make your very own syrup.
$5.00 per person, free for kids under 3. | Registration is required.
