The Berks County Parks & Recreation Department continues to present programs promoting nature, history, and outdoor activity throughout the month of March 2026.

Tuesday, March 3 | Full Moon Hike | 7 p.m. @ Antietam Lake Park – Angora Trailhead Lot
Walk the trails of Antietam Lake Park on the evening of the full moon! Wear sturdy hiking or walking shoes and bring a flashlight.
Free. | Registration is required.

Saturday, March 7 | Winter Wellness Walk | 9 a.m. @ Berks Heritage Center
Join Parks staff as they get out on the Union Canal Trail to enjoy an hour-long brisk walk with like-minded friends.
Free. | Registration is suggested.

Tuesday, March 10 | Trail Tales | 10 a.m. @ Gring’s Mill
Get wrapped up in a trail tale and discover plants and animal friends in the parks! Geared towards children ages 3 to 5.
Free. | Registration is required.

Wednesday, March 11 | Blue Bird Box Workshop | 6 – 8 p.m. @ Berks Heritage Center
Join Parks staff as they explore the finer points of enticing beneficial wildlife to your backyard! Roll up your sleeves and complete a bluebird box of your own to take home!
$20.00/kit. | Registration is required.

Sunday, March 15 | Theorem Class: Bunny Love | 1 – 3:30 p.m. @ Berks Heritage Center
Are you not an artist? Then, this theorem class is just for you! You can learn the art of theorem painting, which is done entirely by stenciling. A frame and all materials are supplied with your registration fee.
$30.00/person. | Registration is required.

Wednesday, March 18 | Junk Journaling – Part 3 | 6 p.m. @ Berks Heritage Center
Join Parks staff for this workshop series to learn the art of junk journaling.
Free. | Registration is required.

Friday, March 20 | Spring Seed & Houseplant Swap | 6 – 8 p.m. @ Berks Heritage Center
Spring into the growing season by bringing extra seeds, sprouts, bulbs, and even houseplants gone crazy to this swap! Everything you bring must be free to trade, and please identify your seeds/plants clearly. No money will be exchanged.

Saturday, March 28 | Egg-cellent Eggs! | 10 a.m. – noon @ Gring’s Mill
Discover some truly egg-cellent facts about eggs! A non-competitive egg hunt will follow the program. Geared towards families with children ages 5+.
