From Berks County Conservation District
The Berks County Conservation District will host its fifth annual Conservation Celebration on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Berks County 4-H Grounds on County Welfare Road. This free, rain-or-shine event offers fun and educational activities for the entire family.
The Conservation Celebration will be held in conjunction with the Master Gardeners Plant Sale, making it a perfect opportunity for attendees to shop for plants while enjoying a morning full of engaging activities.
This year’s event features:
- Live music performed by Golden Twine
- Line dancing with Boot Scootin Becky
- A rain barrel auction
- A visit from Smokey Bear
- Educational displays from the Berks and Schuylkill County Beekeeper Association
- Touch-a-Truck
- Kids’ Corner activities
- Mini workshops throughout the day covering topics from worm composting to container gardening
Attendees can also grab a bite to eat from Schaeffer Catering while enjoying music and hands-on learning experiences.
The Conservation Celebration promises free family fun while highlighting conservation, gardening, and environmental stewardship in the community.
