From IM ABLE Foundation
The IM ABLE Foundation will host its annual BASH fundraiser on the evening of Saturday, March 14, at the PLEX facility at Alvernia University. The highly anticipated event serves as both a celebration of the IM ABLE community and the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, supporting programs and services that empower individuals of all abilities to live active lives.
The evening will begin with a 5:30 p.m. cocktail hour for silver-level sponsors and above, award recipients, adaptive athletes, and their guests, with doors opening to the general public at 6:30 p.m.
Guests will enjoy great food, live music from Brass Pocket Band, and the opportunity to participate in exciting adaptive sports stations, including wheelchair rugby, wheelchair tennis, and handcycle time trials.
Funds raised through the event directly support the IM ABLE Foundation’s mission to remove obstacles that prevent people living with disabilities from being physically active by providing grants, fitness opportunities, and motivation.
The fundraiser is open to the public, and every guest is welcome to attend the BASH free of charge. Community members are encouraged to register, attend, and consider supporting the event through donations or sponsorships. Every dollar raised helps expand IM ABLE’s adaptive programs, provide essential equipment, and create more opportunities for people of all abilities to move, connect, and thrive.
The evening’s program will feature presentations of the Chris Kaag Motivator of the Year awards, adaptive equipment grant presentations, and a special appeal to support the continued growth of IM ABLE’s impact.
The organization is proud to honor Kevin Moore as the 2026 Chris Kaag Motivator of the Year. Moore has supported the IM ABLE mission for decades, contributing in countless ways. From participating in long-standing events such as the Got the Nerve? Triathlon and the RU ABLE? Duathlon, to guiding adaptive athletes, leading training sessions for adaptive and first-time participants, and even rehabilitating six push-rim wheelchairs in his own garage, Moore’s dedication to expanding opportunities to athletes with disabilities has made a lasting impact.
IM ABLE will also recognize Rodger Krause as the 2026 Chris Kaag Adaptive Motivator of the Year. Krause’s story is one of perseverance, grit, and determination. At 64 years old, he became the oldest person ever to compete in the handcycle division at the Ironman World Championship, continuing to redefine what is possible and inspire those around him.
During the event, IM ABLE will also present several adaptive equipment grants to individuals in need. Grants will include a tennis wheelchair, handcycle, wheelchair, and a surprise grant presentation, demonstrating the direct impact community support has on changing lives.
Through events like the BASH, the IM ABLE Foundation continues to build a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to experience the power of movement.
