The Reading Symphony Orchestra will conclude its 2025-26 season with a powerful and celebratory program of majestic horizons featuring Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” and Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, on Saturday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m., at the Santander Performing Arts Center.
Led by Music Director Andrew Constantine, the season finale will feature internationally acclaimed violinist Eric Silberger performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, a virtuosic masterpiece known for its lyricism and brilliance.
The program culminates in Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” by Antonín Dvořák, one of the most beloved works in the orchestral repertoire. Composed during Dvořák’s time in the United States, the symphony blends European tradition with inspiration drawn from American musical and cultural landscapes, creating a work of enduring emotional depth and sweeping grandeur.
This special evening will also feature a side-by-side appearance with the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra, highlighting the organization’s ongoing commitment to education and the next generation of musicians.
The Season Finale promises an unforgettable experience of passion, virtuosity, and expansive symphonic beauty, bringing together audience favorites and iconic masterworks in a program designed to inspire and captivate.
