BCTV is now a proud partner of Charitable Adult Rides and Services (CARS), offering a streamlined process to donate a vehicle to support BCTV.
CARS is a national nonprofit organization that has been in the vehicle donation business for 20 years, and they are dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations raise funds through successful car donation programs and work with more than 8,000 nonprofits nationwide.
For 50 years, Berks Community Television has thrived thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and community donors. Accepting vehicle donations is another way we can encourage community members to give back and help keep BCTV on air and online.
“We were very fortunate to have a local resident generously offer a vehicle donation to us earlier this year, and they introduced us to the CARS program to facilitate the transaction. We’re excited to offer vehicle donations as a new way to support BCTV. It’s a simple, meaningful way to turn something you no longer need into opportunities for local voices to be heard,” said Heather Adams, executive director of BCTV.
CARS will accept cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, boats, motorcycles, and more — whether they’re running or not. The donation process is easy, and pick-up is totally free. It’s an especially attractive opportunity for those who want to avoid the costs of keeping a car, including registration, insurance, and repairs. It also skips the hassle of selling a car and is better than a low trade-in offer.
A vehicle donated to BCTV provides funding that allows us to sustain our mission to empower people and engage community through media. Vehicle donations through CARS are tax-deductible, and you could reduce your taxable income when taxes are itemized.
Donating through CARS is simple:
- Start your donation form online or by phone.
Complete a secure form or speak with a vehicle donor support representative.
- Schedule your free vehicle pickup.
Your vehicle is picked up at a time that works for you — at no cost.
- Receive your donation receipt.
Once your vehicle is sold, you’ll receive documentation for your tax records.

If you have a vehicle you no longer need, consider turning it into support for a cause that matters.
