From Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County
Three local organizations, Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County (BCSS), Reading Hospital Foundation, and Blankets of Hope (BOH), are joining forces to host Toss for a Cause: Bags & Brews for Blankets & Breast Health, a vibrant community event dedicated to raising awareness and critical funds for breast health programs across Berks County.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 6, at Classic Harley-Davidson in Leesport and promises a full day of entertainment, friendly competition, and community connection.
Centered around a lively cornhole tournament, Toss for a Cause offers something for everyone. Attendees can enjoy live music, a kids’ zone, food trucks, a car and bike show, exclusive World War II Air Show seating, raffles, silent auctions, and 50/50 games — all in a family-friendly atmosphere.
The cost to participate is $30.00 per player and $60.00 per team, and teams are guaranteed at least four games. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the tournament begins at 11 a.m. Sponsorships are available at the following levels: Friends Sponsor at $100.00, Ace Sponsor at $250.00, Board Sponsor at $500.00, Kids Zone Sponsor at $1,000.00, and Air Mail Sponsor at $2,500.00.
Proceeds from the event will directly support breast health initiatives that provide free support services, education, comfort items, and resources to individuals and families navigating a breast cancer diagnosis. These programs ensure that no one in Berks County has to face breast cancer alone.
“Collaboration is at the heart of this event,” said organizers. “By bringing together our missions and the strength of our community, we can expand access to vital breast health services and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Community members, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to get involved as sponsors, players, donors, or attendees. Together, this event aims to combine compassion and community spirit to support a cause that impacts so many local families.
