Downtown Reading Third Annual Taco Fest

Downtown Reading Third Annual Taco Fest

From City of Reading

Downtown Reading is turning the heat up again as the third annual Taco Fest returns bigger and bolder on Saturday, May 2, from noon to 6 p.m. This highly anticipated fun fiesta will take over the 600 and 700 blocks of Penn Street, bringing thousands together for an unforgettable day of food, music, culture, and fun.

Enjoy authentic tacos, festive drinks, and live entertainment that includes live local bands, cultural dance performances and free dance lessons by Grupo Uaharni, mechanical bull-riding, axe-throwing, a soccer-inspired activity to prepare for Reading’s Official FIFA Fan Fest in July, delicious eats from local and regional businesses and food trucks, unique finds from creative vendors from near and far, and so much more. Vendors interested in participating have until Friday, April 17, to sign up here.

Adding to the excitement, Nemesis Fitness will once again host its Cinco de Mayo 5K, a free, non-competitive community run open to all ages and fitness levels. Participants will take off at 3 p.m., run through downtown Reading, and return to celebrate, refuel, and reconnect to the Taco Fest festivities. Those interested in participating can sign up here.

Free parking for event attendees is being finalized and will be shared soon.
