From LGBT Center of Greater Reading, Lebanon Valley College
The LGBT Center of Greater Reading is proud to announce a Community Book Drive in partnership with Lebanon Valley College (LVC) Bishop Library. The drive invites community members to donate books across all genres, with proceeds benefitting the Center’s growing library, a resource designed to inspire knowledge, creativity, and empowerment for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies in the Greater Reading area.
Books can be donated at two convenient drop-off locations: the LGBT Center of Greater Reading, located at 640 Centre Ave., Reading, PA (Monday to Friday, 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.), and Lebanon Valley College Bishop Library, located at 101 College Ave., Annville, PA (Monday to Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.).
“Access to books and representation in literature matters deeply to the communities we serve,” said Laura Biancone, Executive Director of the LGBT Center of Greater Reading. “This book drive is an opportunity for our community to show up for one another in a meaningful way. Every donation adds to a space where people can see themselves reflected and find the stories that help them thrive.”
All genres are welcome. Community members and organizations interested in donating or learning more are encouraged to contact csl003@lvc.edu.
