From Junior League of Reading
The Junior League of Reading, in partnership with the Reading Fightin Phils, is excited to announce its 19th annual Touch-A-Truck event, taking place on Sunday, May 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at FirstEnergy Stadium.
This highly anticipated, family-friendly event invites children of all ages to get up close with their favorite vehicles, offering a hands-on opportunity to explore, climb aboard, and discover the mechanics behind more than 30 vehicles from public works, construction, emergency services, landscaping, and beyond.
In addition to the vehicles, attendees can enjoy:
- Local vendors featuring handmade goods and unique items.
- Community organizations sharing valuable resources and services.
- Live entertainment on the Fightin Phils stage.
- Family-friendly activities, including games, music, a bounce house, face painting, an Imagination Station, Roaming Railroad, and special appearances by mascots.
- Junior League of Reading raffle and chance auction featuring exciting prizes.
- Food and beverages available for purchase at stadium concession stands.
A sensory-friendly hour will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., offering a quieter, more inclusive experience with reduced noise levels for children and families who prefer a calmer environment.
Admission is $10.00 for guests ages 13 and older and free for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance at jlreading.org/touch-a-truck or at the door.
Proceeds from Touch-A-Truck support the Junior League of Reading’s youth empowerment initiative, which includes community programs, such as Let’s Talk Period, Young Women’s Summit, and Lean in Girls.
