From Ethosource, Wyatt Seating
After 25 years of operating in Morgantown, Ethosource and sister company Wyatt Seating are proud to announce a transformative investment of $6.5 million in the City of Reading with the redevelopment of a 109,000-square-foot factory and office.
The building, empty for three years, suffered significant deterioration and is now being transformed into a state-of-the-art center for manufacturing, operations, and innovation. The renovation includes comprehensive upgrades to the building’s interior and exterior infrastructure with a projected start of operations in the fall of 2026. Ethosource and Wyatt Seating currently employ 60 full-time employees, a high proportion of whom live in the city. The new location will support future growth opportunities, expanded hiring within the city, and increased economic activity for local businesses and restaurants.
The companies’ express appreciation for the leadership and responsiveness of Reading Mayor Eddie Morán and his administration, particularly Community Development Director David Barr.
“We are pleased by the Mayor’s energy towards investment and economic development,” said John Gallen. “From day one, this administration welcomed us and removed barriers to make the process seamless. We hope other businesses consider investing in the City of Reading.”
Mayor Eddie Morán stated, “John and Nat have once again proven that we can accomplish any task if we partner together to make our great City even more vibrant and thriving. It takes the commitment and dedication of our City and Business partners to ensure the growth and enhanced sustainability of our City.”
Ethosource and Wyatt Seating also acknowledge the support of Pennsylvania Deputy Secretary of Community Affairs and Development Rick Vilello, PA State Senator Judy Schwank, PA State Representative Jacklyn Rusnock, and Commissioners Christian Leinbach, Michael Rivera, and Dante Santoni for their encouragement and advocacy throughout the project. They also acknowledge financing and economic development guidance from Fulton Bank and Greater Berks Development Fund President Debra Millman.
“Through this new headquarters for Ethosource and Wyatt Seating, John is taking the “road less traveled” by investing in Reading and bringing an old structure back to life. That’s transformative leadership and helps make Reading and Berks County better! Thank you, John,” said Commissioner Christian Leinbach.
The Gallen Family roots in Reading run deep. John Gallen and his son, Nat Gallen, represent five generations of family members who have owned businesses and worked in the city for over a century.
As Ethosource and Wyatt Seating begin this new chapter, the message is simple: WE are Heading to Reading — and investing in the future of the city we proudly call home.
