Moselem Springs Bridge Closed to Traffic

Moselem Springs Bridge in Richmond Township is closed to vehicular traffic immediately. The bridge, connecting Eagle Road and Moselem Springs Road (Route 662), was already in design to be replaced in Spring 2027. However, a routine inspection today showed accelerated deterioration of steel support beams.

Barricades are being installed today, and the detour route will be posted in the coming days.

The County of Berks is committed to progressing the design phase and initiating bridge replacement as quickly as possible.
