Berks Book Bonanza Sale July 8-12

Berks Book Bonanza Sale July 8-12

From Berks Book Bonanza

Berks Book Bonanza will open its doors to the public for its regular five-day gently used book sale scheduled to run from Wednesday, July 8, through Sunday, July 12. The sale will occur at the County of Berks South Campus location, 400 E. Wyomissing Ave., Mohnton.

Sale organizers are hoping to capitalize on last year’s success with additional inventory collected from fall 2025 and spring 2026.

“Berks Book Bonanza was able to provide $80,000 in 2025,” said Judy Ellsworth, vice president of Berks Book Bonanza. “To double our contributions compared with the 2024 mini-sale is amazing, and we’re looking forward to seeing what 2026 yields.”

A long-standing fundraiser in Berks County, Berks Book Bonanza is one of the largest book sale operations in the local area, offering gently used books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, puzzles, and other items at remarkably low prices of $2.00 or less for general items and specialty materials and collectible books priced as marked.

The 2026 Berks Book Bonanza sale will occur on the following dates:

A holding area will be available on Wednesday, July 8. No carts will be permitted inside the building, but volunteers will be on hand to assist in transporting large orders.

Shoppers should be aware that the sale is cash or check only, with no on-site ATMs available. Identification will be required for all check purchases.

The sales entrance is located behind the building by the covered ramp. Volunteers will restock items throughout the sale.

The book sale fundraiser benefits two local organizations: the Friends of Berks County Public Libraries and the Reading Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). All sale materials are donated by Berks Countians, with proceeds supporting area libraries and providing scholarships to women.
