As Berks County prepares for the Star-Spangled Spectacular on July 4, the county is inviting community members to consider volunteering and helping make this community celebration a success.
This special event is expected to welcome thousands of visitors and will serve as one of the county’s signature celebrations as our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2026. Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the event to assist with a variety of activities that will help ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Volunteer perks for the July 4 event include designated parking, access to the volunteer hospitality tent (which includes food, beverage, and shade), and a Star Spangled Spectacular t-shirt!

Volunteer opportunities are available on Friday, July 3, Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5. Employees are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts if interested. If you need a modified or shortened volunteer shift, please contact the event organizers directly at starspangledberks@gmail.com. Please note that volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied at all times by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult.
