From Centro Hispano
Centro Hispano and community partners are proud to announce the launch of the RDG Youth Hub, a new interactive online map designed to help Reading youth and families more easily discover afterschool, summer, and out-of-school-time opportunities across the city. Built through years of collaboration and community listening, the Hub brings together programs, resources, and activities into one easy-to-use platform where families can search by age group, interests, and location.
What began several years ago as a simple seasonal resource grew rapidly, with last year’s map viewed more than 50,000 times. The new year-round platform builds on that momentum while making it even easier for families to connect with opportunities that support learning, creativity, leadership, emotional wellness, and community connection.
For Centro, this initiative reflects what can happen when communities listen first. Families shared barriers like transportation challenges, cost, and difficulty finding centralized information, and those insights directly shaped the tool being built today. More than just a map, the RDG Youth Hub represents a growing commitment to ensuring every young person in Reading can access programs where they feel supported, inspired, and connected.
