From Greater Reading Chamber Alliance
Looking to attract new customers to your restaurant, store, bar, or bakery this fall? The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) is excited to announce the return of Go Taste Berks, taking place throughout the month of November.
Now in its third year, Go Taste Berks continues to showcase Berks County’s thriving food, beverage, and retail scene while helping local businesses connect with new customers through an interactive digital passport experience.
The digital passport program returns after a successful 2025 campaign. Last year, the digital map featuring 49 participating businesses was viewed more than 8,000 times, while passport holders recorded more than 500 check-ins throughout the month. Those results translated into increased exposure and foot traffic for participating businesses across Berks County.
All participating businesses will be featured in the Go Taste Berks digital passport, allowing attendees to explore local destinations at their own pace, scan a unique QR code at each location, and redeem a special offer, discount, or sample.
Businesses interested in participating should complete the registration form and submit it to Katie Johnsen, Events Coordinator, GRCA. GRCA member businesses that register by Friday, Sept. 4, will be eligible for a complimentary on-site video visit from a GRCA staff member. These videos will be featured across GRCA’s social media channels to help build excitement and encourage visits during the month-long event.
The final deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 16.
Participating businesses are encouraged to provide an enticing offer for passport holders, as stronger promotions often lead to greater customer engagement and more visits. The business that records the highest number of digital passport check-ins will receive a complimentary GRCA eSpotlight email, valued at $350, along with a social media takeover on GRCA’s channels. Participation is free for GRCA member businesses and $100 for prospective GRCA member businesses.
