Reading Chamber to Host Legislative Roundtable Focused on Manufacturing Growth

From Greater Reading Chamber Alliance

Join the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) as it convenes state and federal leaders for Legislative Roundtable: Manufacturing Growth from Attraction to Expansion on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., at East Penn Manufacturing’s Main Office Building, 102 Deka Road, Lyon Station.

U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser (R-PA, 9th District) and State Rep. Jamie Barton (R-Berks, 124th District), who represents Berks County on Pennsylvania’s State Economic Competitiveness Caucus, will lead a discussion bringing together manufacturers, business leaders, and policymakers to explore how federal, state, and local partners can work together to strengthen Pennsylvania’s manufacturing sector.

The conversation will focus on the full manufacturing pipeline, from attracting new investment and supporting business expansion to retaining existing employers and developing the workforce and supply chains needed for long-term success. Participants will have the opportunity to share challenges, discuss policy priorities, and identify practical strategies to enhance the competitiveness of manufacturers in Greater Reading and across Pennsylvania.

This interactive roundtable is designed to foster meaningful dialogue between industry leaders and elected officials while highlighting the policies, partnerships, and investments that will shape the future of manufacturing in our region.

This event series is sponsored by East Penn Manufacturing Co. and Visions Federal Credit Union.

Registration is required. Cost is $25.00 for GRCA members or $35.00 for future GRCA members. Includes lite fare and networking. Register at greaterreading.org/mfgroundtable.
