Mayor Eddie Morán Appoints Michael Fromm to Reading CRIZ Authority Board

Mayor Eddie Morán has appointed Michael Fromm to the Reading City Revitalization and Improvement Zone (CRIZ) Authority Board.

Fromm is Executive Chairman of Fromm Electric Supply and has been involved in business and economic development in Reading for more than 30 years. In addition to leading his family’s company, he has owned downtown investment properties for over two decades and has served in leadership roles with several local organizations focused on economic and community development.

“Michael has been a strong advocate for Reading for many years,” said Mayor Eddie Morán. “His business experience and commitment to our city make him a great addition to the CRIZ Authority Board, and I look forward to working with him to continue building on Reading’s momentum.”

“The importance of economic development in Reading to the well-being of the entire community cannot be underestimated,” Fromm said. “I look forward to working with all stakeholders to bring new investments to the city.”

Fromm currently serves on the boards of Alvernia University and the Berks County Intermediate Unit Foundation. He has also held leadership positions with the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce, the Berks Economic Partnership, Our City Reading, the Olivet Boys & Girls Club, Opportunity House, United Way, and the Wyomissing Foundation.
