Performance Volvo Pro Tennis Challenge Returns to Berks

The seventh annual Performance Volvo Pro Tennis Challenge will take place Aug. 17-18 at the Emkey Tennis Garden in Wyomissing, with world-class professional tennis coming to Berks County yet again in 2026. This year, the event is headlined by two top 350 ATP-ranked players, including world #163 Billy Harris, an Indian Davis Cup star, and world #353 DK Suresh. The rest of the field will be announced in the coming days.

Play begins on Monday, Aug. 17, with round robin matches from 9:30 a.m. all day through the night session at 7:30 p.m. Play continues on Tuesday, Aug. 18, with a special exhibition match with players to be announced, followed by the men’s singles championship at 6 p.m. The event presented by the Berks County Tennis Association will benefit the Olivet Boys and Girls Club of Reading and Berks County.

Tickets are available at performancevolvotennischallenge.com. Prize money for the event is $10,000. This is the seventh year of the event, with past champions being Denis Kudla (2020), Makund Saisikumar (2021), Sumit Nagal (2022), Fillip Misolic (2024), and Jan Choinski (2025 and 2026).

On Sunday, Aug. 16, at 12:30 p.m., at Hampden Park, the ATP Pros from the event will conduct a one-hour junior clinic for junior tennis players in the area ages 12 to 18. RSVP for the junior clinic by emailing berksprotennis@gmail.com or calling 610-451-2401. Spots in the junior clinic are $40.00/player, with proceeds of the clinic benefiting the Olivets Boys and Girls Club.
