Get ready for an unforgettable weekend at the annual RiverFest, a vibrant food and music festival along the Schuylkill River at Jim Dietrich Park in Muhlenberg Township. This three-day extravaganza kicks off on Friday, Aug. 21, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 23, promising an exciting blend of music, food, and artisan crafts.
This is the 10th anniversary of RiverFest and the 175th anniversary of Muhlenberg Township, so there is a lot to celebrate!
Event schedule:
- Friday, Aug. 21
- The entire trail is open. Come on out to hear Vinyl Rush and Bunchafunk from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will also be a kids’ area Friday night as well as a drone show and fireworks show starting at 10 p.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 22
- The trail is open at 11 a.m., with activities continuing until 10 p.m. Bands include Deep Space 90s and Die Tired.
- Sunday, Aug. 23
- The fun resumes at 11 a.m. and wraps up at 7 p.m. Bands include The Wild Hymns and Mysterious Ways (a U2 cover band).
Event highlights:
Enjoy 20 musical acts on two stages, featuring a variety of genres to keep everyone entertained. Savor delicious offerings from over 40 food vendors, providing a wide range of culinary delights. Explore the creations of numerous artisans and crafters, including a mesmerizing chainsaw sculptor.
