READING, PA – The Adalyn Rose Foundation (ARF), a Reading-based nonprofit organization, will hold its third annual Duck Derby fundraiser this weekend at Muhlenberg Township’s RiverFest. With support from presenting sponsors Diamond Credit Union and Redner’s Markets, over $60,000 has already been raised for the foundation leading up to the weekend’ s festivities.

Duck entries can be purchased online and in-person at RiverFest through Saturday evening. The Derby will take place at Jim Dietrich Park on Sunday, August 23rd, the final day of Muhlenberg Township’s Annual RiverFest. The ducks will begin racing down the Schuylkill River at 12:30, and winners will be announced at 2:00 pm. The organization will release nearly 3,000 rubber ducks into the Schuylkill River at 12:30 on August 23rd and invites community members to cheer the ducks toward the finish line.

The first twenty ducks to cross the finish line will win prizes ranging from $100 gift cards to the grand prize of $3,000 cash. Funds raised will be used to support the nonprofit’s mission of providing comprehensive and continuous care to families grieving the loss of a baby during pregnancy, infancy, and early childhood.

The Adalyn Rose Foundation provides comprehensive care to families grieving the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, infant, or early childhood loss.
