Reading Theater Project Unveils Its 2026-27 Season

The Reading Theater Project (RTP) kicked off the start of its 2026-27 season with “In Nature’s Studio” on Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Reading Public Museum Arboretum. The arts festival came a day after its official season announcement video with BCTV, announcing this season’s theme, “Kaleidoscope.”

The 2026-27 season promises to delight and will feature script-in-hand readings, workshops, donor events, and more. On the third Thursday of every month, the organization will host Playwright Table Reads at Holy Cross United Methodist Church in Reading from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Returning for its 12th year will be the 5-Minute Fringe festival, themed for the season as “Malfunctions.” The season schedule also includes a full-length production of “Faithless,” an original play written by Reading-based playwright Kimberly Patterson. In addition, the organization has officially launched a new sponsorship package for interested sponsors. “New Stories Begin at RTP” is a season-long donation campaign aiming to raise $5,000.00 for the organization. As a semi-professional theater, Reading Theater Project is on a mission to elevate both arts and the stories they tell through direct impact with the Greater Reading and Berks County community.
