Connections Work Invites Local Employers to Meet Motivated Job Seekers at Fall Career Fair

Connections Work is inviting Berks County employers to participate in its Fall Career Fair on Monday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading. The event offers businesses an efficient way to meet motivated local candidates and introduce them to available positions, career paths, and company culture.

Employers of all sizes and industries are encouraged to attend, whether they have immediate openings or want to build a stronger pipeline for future hiring. Participating employers will have the opportunity to connect directly with job seekers whose talent and potential may be overlooked through traditional hiring channels. Employers interested in participating should contact HelpWithHiring@ConnectionsWork.org or call 484-260-3860 ext. 3024.

Connections Work anticipates more than 30 employers, including Brentwood Industries, Tower Health, Unique Snacks, and New Castle Lawn & Landscape, along with local social service providers. New Castle Lawn & Landscape, Construction Masters Services, and Spring House Window & Door are sponsoring the event.

The Career Fair is open to all community members including those who are currently on probation or parole, have past involvement with the criminal justice system, or have involvement with domestic relations. Job seekers can meet employers, learn about openings, and receive practical assistance. Volunteers will be available to help with applications, mock interviews, and job readiness coaching. Through the support of the Berks County Public Libraries, laptops will also be available for completing online applications during the event. Job seekers may attend the Career Fair at no cost.

As Berks County’s leading provider of reentry workforce development services, Connections Work helps people facing barriers to employment build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to succeed at work. The organization also partners with employers to identify candidates, support successful onboarding, and promote long-term retention.
