From Jewish Federation of Reading/Berks
Jewish Federation of Reading/Berks is delighted to host bestselling New York Times cookbook author and award-winning television host Pati Jinich for this year’s Literatour kick-off event.
On Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m., at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, Jinich, host of the James Beard Award-winning PBS series Pati’s Mexican Table, will share stories from her newest book, Foods of La Frontera, exploring the rich connections between food, family, culture, and identity.
Drawing on her Jewish heritage and her life in Mexico, Pati will discuss how her grandmothers influenced her understanding of tradition, resilience, and the power of sharing stories around the table. Guests will enjoy a screening of an episode from her television series highlighting Jewish life in Mexico City.
Tickets to the event are $36.00 and include a copy of Pati Jinich’s book, Foods of La Frontera. To RSVP, visit readingjewishcommunity.org or contact Jewish Federation of Reading/Berks at info@jfreading.org or 610-921-0624.
