Reading Royals Re-Sign Jacob Frasca, F, for 2026-27 Season

From Reading Royals

The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced that forward Jacob Frasca has re-signed with the club for the remainder of the 2026-27 season.

Joining his older brother, Jordan, on Reading’s current roster, the two reunite as the first pair of brothers to play more than one season together in team history. They are the third pair of brothers to be on a season roster in franchise history (Danny and Max Taylor, 2008-09, Sean and Steven Leonard, 2023-24).

Jacob, 23, is entering his third professional season, second with Reading, with 43 points (17g-26a) and 161 penalty minutes across 116 professional career games, all in the ECHL, between Cincinnati (2024-25) and Reading (2025-26). The Brampton, Ontario native returns to Reading after skating in three games at Merrimack College (NCAA) following a 63-game 2025-26 campaign, his first season as a Royal, where the 6’5″, 225-pound, right-shot forward registered 28 points (12g-16a) and 113 penalty minutes.

Additionally, Jacob attended the Toronto Maple Leafs Training Camps in 2023 and 2024, plus played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Barrie Colts (2019-24) and the Soo Greyhounds (2023-24), where he recorded 127 points (53g-74a), 139 penalty minutes, and a +15 rating across 194 career games. Jacob added 24 points (10g-14a) in 30 OHL playoff career games and was an alternate captain for Barrie in 2021-22 and 2023-24.
