From Greater Reading Chamber Alliance
Women2Women, a special program of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA), invites you to join as it welcomes Cheryl Heckman, owner and manager of Manor Golf Club for nearly 28 years, for a conversation on “The Power of Saying No,” and how setting boundaries with confidence can transform the way you lead.
In a field long dominated by men, Heckman has built a career defined by expertise, composure, and the ability to say “no” with authority and grace. She’ll share real-world stories from nearly three decades running one of the region’s busiest golf courses, along with practical insights for women who find their ideas overlooked, their voices talked over, or their authority questioned.
Attendees will gain practical tools for asserting themselves with confidence, being heard in high-pressure or male-dominated environments, and using their expertise to strengthen their authority. They’ll also learn strategies for handling pushback with composure and clarity.
This Women2Women event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the West Reading Motor Club, 416 Penn Ave., West Reading. Registration is required. Price is $40.00 for GRCA members or $50.00 for future GRCA members and includes the presentation and lunch. Register at greaterreading.org/sayingno.
