Commute PA is officially inviting commuters in the area to swap their drive-alone commutes for more cost-effective travel methods this February. Through the “Rethink Your Route and Drive Less PA” initiative, participants can save money on fuel and vehicle wear while entering for a chance to win a $100 gift card.

Commute PA aims to highlight the diverse alternatives available to local residents. Whether it is carpooling with a neighbor or co-worker, hopping on a bus, biking, walking, or skipping the trip entirely through telecommuting, every trip contributes to a better Pennsylvania.

How to participate and win

Entering the challenge is simple. Commuters who log their activity through the Commute PA platform are eligible for the month’s prizes.

The goal: Record at least four trips using a non-drive-alone method during the month of February.

Eligible methods: Carpooling, vanpooling, transit, biking, walking, or telecommuting.

The reward: By logging these trips, participants are automatically entered for a chance to win one of four $100 Tango gift cards.

Tango gift cards offer ultimate flexibility, allowing winners to choose digital rewards from hundreds of popular retailers, select prepaid cards, or even make a charitable donation.

Why rethink the route?

“We want to encourage everyone to try a new mode of transportation, even if it’s just once or twice a week,” said Matt Boyer, Commute PA Executive Director. “Small changes in how we travel can lead to big savings for our wallets and a positive impact on our community.”
