Helping Harvest Adds New Members to Board of Directors

From Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank

Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank recently added four new members to its Board of Directors.

John Powers, President of Commercial Lines Insurance of Tobash Insurance Agency in Tamaqua, and Tim Santoro, Divisional Vice President of The GIANT Company, both joined the Board in late February 2026.

In 2025, Scott L. Gruber, retired President and CEO of Tompkins Community Bank and Executive Director of Economic Development of Our City Reading, and Kenneth W. Weik, Portfolio Manager and Secretary/Treasurer of Weik Capital Management, joined the Board as new members.

“I’m so grateful that we’ve had the opportunity to bring new members onto the Board with such rich professional and community experiences. This will be valuable as we continue to work on our new strategic plan,” said Helping Harvest President Jay Worrall. “I also want to thank the folks who previously served on our Board and have cycled off over the past year, as we so appreciate their commitment and contributions.”

Helping Harvest expects to unveil its new strategic plan in early summer 2026.
