Explore the Talent of Berks County’s Young Artists at Secondary Art Exhibition

From Berks County Intermediate Unit

The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) is proud to present the 44th annual Secondary Art Exhibition, a vibrant showcase of creativity featuring artwork from high school students across Berks County. Hosted at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts (201 Washington St., Reading), this free exhibition is open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Tuesday, April 14.

This year’s exhibition features nearly 2,000 works of art, selected by art educators from 22 Berks County schools. The collection is displayed throughout the main floor gallery of the GoggleWorks, offering visitors an experience that highlights the depth and variety of student talent.

Participating high schools include Antietam, Berks Career & Technology Center, Berks Catholic, Boyertown Area, Brandywine Heights Area, Conrad Weiser Area, Daniel Boone Area, Exeter Township, Fleetwood Area, Governor Mifflin, Hamburg Area, King’s Academy, Kutztown Area, Muhlenberg, Oley Valley, Reading, Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center, Schuylkill Valley, Tulpehocken Area, Twin Valley, Wilson, and Wyomissing Area.

More than 1,200 students submitted their artwork for consideration, judged across 19 categories. These include traditional and contemporary mediums such as painting, drawing, digital art, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, and mixed media. Award-winning works are identified with recognition tags displayed alongside the artwork.

The exhibition is made possible through the support and collaboration of the Berks County Intermediate Unit, the Reading Berks County Guild of Craftsmen, Berks Arts, and local artist judges, all of whom play a vital role in the event’s continued success.

Whether you are an art enthusiast, a supporter of local schools, or simply looking for an inspiring cultural experience, the exhibition offers something for everyone.
