From Berks County Farm Bureau
The Berks County Farm Bureau invites the public to experience a unique agricultural evening at its upcoming Field to Table Dinner in a Soybean Field on Sunday, May 31, beginning with guest arrival at 4 p.m.
The event will be held at Jeremy Meck’s farm, where guests will begin the evening with a wagon ride across the farm to a soybean field destination. There, a beautifully prepared outdoor dining space will welcome guests for an unforgettable agricultural dining experience.
Once in the field, guests will enjoy a five-course field-to-table meal prepared with locally sourced ingredients from Berks County farms and producers. Throughout the dinner, local chefs will introduce and describe each course, sharing the inspiration behind the dishes and highlighting the local ingredients used in the meal.
As the evening unfolds, guests will dine among the rows of young soybeans while enjoying live praise music, creating a peaceful atmosphere as the sun sets across the farmland. The evening will conclude with dessert served at sunset, offering guests a memorable ending to a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
Tickets for the event are $125 per person, and a portion of each ticket will support agricultural education programs, including the Mobile Ag Lab, Ag Literacy initiatives, and the SWAG Ag Lab. The Mobile Ag Lab brings hands-on agricultural science lessons to K-8 students, helping young learners understand the science and technology involved in modern farming while teaching them where their food comes from.
The event also provides an opportunity for guests to learn more about the work of the Berks County Farm Bureau, including its efforts to support farmers, advocate for agriculture, and expand agricultural education in the community.
Support for the event includes contributions from the Berks County Department of Agriculture and the Berks County Department of Economic Development, demonstrating the county’s commitment to strengthening agriculture and educational outreach. Student volunteers from the National FFA Organization and Berks County 4-H will also assist with serving the meal and welcoming guests.
“This event brings people directly to the farm so they can experience agriculture in a meaningful way,” organizers said. “Sharing a meal grown and prepared locally while supporting agricultural education helps strengthen the connection between our farmers and our community.”
Tickets are limited for this exclusive farm dining experience. Community members are encouraged to reserve their seats early and join the Berks County Farm Bureau for an unforgettable evening celebrating local agriculture, community, and the harvest to come. Click here for tickets:
