The garden hotline is open for gardening season. Master Gardener volunteers will staff the hotline through the end of September to assist home gardeners with questions and problems.

The hotline will operate Monday through Friday with varying hours, starting at 9 a.m., at the Penn State Extension office at the Berks County Ag Center, 1238 County Welfare Road, Leesport, PA 19533.

Home gardeners are welcome to stop in or call the Extension office at 610-378-1327 to speak to a master gardener. The hotline can also be reached via email at berksmg@psu.edu.

Samples or photos of plants, insects, or garden problems are helpful in assisting with identification, diagnosis, and recommendations to solve your gardening questions. They may not always know the answer immediately, but they will take the time to research and get back to you with accurate, reliable information.

Soil testing kits are also available at the office for $10.
