D&S Elite Construction Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of John Purr as Construction Program Lead and Graham Johnston as Carpenter, further strengthening the company’s expertise across commercial, residential, and specialty construction projects.
These new hires reflect D&S’s continued investment in its people and its commitment to delivering exceptional service through experienced, quality-driven professionals.
John Purr joins D&S after several years with a national home builder, bringing extensive leadership experience and a passion for managing complex construction projects. As Construction Program Lead, he will oversee upcoming capital projects while working closely with the team to ensure successful project execution.
“What attracted me to D&S was the opportunity to stay local while continuing to work on exciting, diverse construction projects,” said Purr. “From renovations and custom homes to commercial work, the variety of projects made it the perfect fit for both my career and my family.”
A Philadelphia native, Purr enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams. One fact that often surprises people? Despite growing up in the city, he butchers his own meat every winter.
Joining the specialty construction team is Graham Johnston, who will serve as a Carpenter, helping construct and maintain exhibits at Elmwood Park Zoo.
“I’m excited to build exhibits that make a difference for both the animals and the guests who visit the Zoo,” said Johnston.
After learning about D&S through a friend and experiencing the company’s interview process firsthand, Johnston recognized the organization’s dedication to quality and excellence.

Outside of work, Johnston enjoys reading, listening to music, and studying history. His best career advice is simple but impactful: “Network with people every chance you get.”
