Pokémon trainers, collectors, gamers, and longtime fans are invited to spend a full day celebrating the franchise when PokeKon Fest arrives in Reading, PA. On Saturday, Nov. 7, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Reading will welcome fans from across the region for a one-day convention dedicated entirely to Pokémon.

Running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., PokeKon Fest brings together collectors, vendors, artists, gamers, and families for a show built around every side of Pokémon fandom. Attendees can browse a packed marketplace featuring trading cards, graded and vintage cards, video games, figures, plush, artwork, apparel, accessories, collectibles, handmade merchandise, and other Pokémon finds while meeting fellow fans and collectors from throughout the area.

Event highlights:

• Pokémon collecting and trading: Attendees can search for everything from modern singles and sealed TCG products to graded cards, vintage collectibles, figures, plush, artwork, and other harder-to-find Pokémon merchandise. Fans are encouraged to bring their trade binders and connect with other collectors throughout the day.
• Celebrity meet-and-greet: Voice actress Lee Quick, best known as the original English voice of Officer Jenny in the Pokémon animated series, will be appearing as a special guest. Fans will have the opportunity to meet one of the voices behind a character that has been part of the franchise since its earliest seasons.
• Family-accessible pricing: General admission is $20.00, with kids 11 and under admitted free, one child per paid adult. Additional children are $10.00 each. Tickets are available online in advance or at the door.

“PokeKon Fest gives Pokemon fans a place where collecting, gaming, nostalgia, and the community surrounding the franchise all come together under one roof,” said the promotional team at OurCons. “Whether someone has been collecting since the original generation or is bringing a young Pokémon fan to their first convention, we want the day to be welcoming, fun, and full of things to discover.”
