The Vagina Monologues

This is a play based on interviews Eve Ensler did with women. She found that most of them had experienced violence against them. She wrote a play to raise awareness about atrocities across the world and to end violence against women. This play is a testament to thousands of stories that never get voiced.
Join us for a show that will move you to tears, make you laugh out loud and help you celebrate the wonderful women in your life!
Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues has been around for over 20 years and after a 7 year hiatus from Reading, comes back at Genesius Theatre. From Madison Square Garden, to college campuses across the country, to small theatres all over the world, this play has made an impact on the world through the V-DAY CAMPAIGN. Now, as volunteers from our wonderful community of Berks County join together to raise money and awareness to end violence against women and children. Although the V-DAY campaign has shifted and community theatres and individuals are able to purchase the rights to this production, we have decided again to make this a fundraiser for Berks Urgent Response Network specifically Neighbor Fund which provides financial assistance to Berks County individuals and families experiencing urgent financial hardship due to immigration enforcement B.U.R.N. Mutual Aid.
Join us in ending violence against women.
