Yocum Institute Announces Dancing with the Reading Stars 2023

The Yocum Institute for Arts Education announces the date of their popular fundraising event, Dancing with the Reading Stars, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the DoubleTree Hotel Reading at 701 Penn Street, Reading, PA, PA 19606.

Inspired by the hit television show, this annual event showcases “stars” representing Berks County’s diverse community at a fun-filled and inspiring evening. The pairs dance and raise money to further Yocum’s mission to provide arts education throughout the county and beyond.

Nine dance pairs are participating this year, and each pair is excited for their live debut on DoubleTree dance floor on Friday, April 21. This year’s star couples are: Johan Cruz and Jamie Lambert, Scott Davidson and Dr. Glynis Fitzgerald, Jadelyn De Asis and Alexis Frutos, Alaina Hanzl and Dawn Dietrich, Don Maher and Natan Pulido Perez, Ebony and Kelly McNeil, Maille and Ryan McNicholas, Steve and Christina Ohnsman, and Ashley and Andres Ortiz.

Funding is raised through sponsorships, donations, and votes for the dance pairs. Votes are cast in $10 increments and can be made online at YocumInstitute.org, by mail, and over the phone at 610.376.1576. Voting is currently underway and concludes the night of the event on April 21 after all pairs perform. Recognition is given for the “Fan Favorite” based on the most votes and the pair who raises the most funds.

The 2023 Ticket Prices are $85 per ticket and can be purchased by calling Yocum Institute or visit our website and click on tickets. Tables are available for up to 10 attendees. Ticket includes a sit-down dinner with cash bar and the live show.
