Why not you? \n\n\n\nHave fun meeting new people and helping your community at the same time! \n\n\n\nCanteen Attendants tend to blood donors after the donation process is complete. They offer a drink and a snack while ensuring the donor is feeling well and remains in the canteen for at least 15 minutes. \n\n\n\nVolunteers can help at a variety of blood drives in the community at schools\, businesses\, churches\, or other community organizations. You choose when and where you would like to volunteer. It could be once a month or as often as you would like. Most of the need is during the workday. We are sorry\, but we cannot help fulfill court-ordered adult community service hours. We are not currently working with employment agencies or placement agencies. \n\n\n\nWe are in need of canteen volunteers in Berks County\, Northern Berks County\, Montgomery County\, Chester County\, and the Boyertown area. SUMMARY:Wake Up Women: Morning Connection in Nature
DESCRIPTION:Welcome all women who wish to rise\, shine\, and find community in the great outdoors. Every Tuesday and Thursday\, we’ll meet at the State Hill Boat Ramp (lower lot) to embrace the season and immerse ourselves in nature. Depending on the weather—particularly wind speed—we’ll either hike or paddle (SUP/kayak). Our decision will be announced the evening before each event on the Facebook “Wake Up Women” post. \nHIKING\nWe’ll trek a scenic 3-mile loop that includes some hills.\nSturdy shoes are required (no flip flops or crocs).\nPADDLING (SUP/Kayak)\nPaddling is for those who have experience. No instruction will be provided at this meet-up.\nEquipment is NOT provided. No rentals are available for fall or winter.\nThis free event is designed to strengthen connections among women\, but registration is required. Check our Facebook page the night before for final updates and be prepared for an energizing morning of fresh air\, community\, and winter adventure.
