Mayor Eddie Morán, in partnership with State Representative Manny Guzman, is proud to host the 5th Annual Back-to-School Giveaway, a community-centered event designed to help Reading families prepare for the new school year. The event will take place on Wednesday,
August 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the courtyard on the 600 block of Penn Street.

This year’s event will feature free school supplies for students, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Families will also enjoy free food, snacks, refreshments, and fresh fruit, along with complimentary haircuts and hairstyling services provided by local barbers and stylists. Free vision screenings will also be available, and community organizations will be on hand
to share valuable local and state resources with families.

Free parking will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the 6th & Cherry Street parking lot, courtesy of the Reading Parking Authority.
