In partnership with the Reading Branch NAACP, Penn State Berks will air the 2019 PBS and Fireflight film “Boss: The Black Experience in Business.” The film will be shown from 5 to 7 p.m. with a discussion to follow until 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

The film follows “the untold story of African American entrepreneurship, where skill, industriousness, ingenuity and sheer courage in the face of overwhelming odds provide the backbone of this nation’s economic and social growth.” This event is part of a community partnership project between Penn State Berks students and the Reading Branch NAACP to research, write, and share Black entrepreneurial history in Berks County. Some of the entrepreneurs who are participating in the project will attend the film showing.
