SUMMARY:Canteen Volunteer
DESCRIPTION:Someone needs to give out snacks with a smile while monitoring the donors and making sure they are doing well after donating. Why not you? \n\n\n\nHave fun meeting new people and helping your community at the same time! \n\n\n\nCanteen Attendants tend to blood donors after the donation process is complete. They offer a drink and a snack while ensuring the donor is feeling well and remains in the canteen for at least 15 minutes. \n\n\n\nVolunteers can help at a variety of blood drives in the community at schools\, businesses\, churches\, or other community organizations. You choose when and where you would like to volunteer. It could be once a month or as often as you would like. Most of the need is during the workday. We are sorry\, but we cannot help fulfill court-ordered adult community service hours. We are not currently working with employment agencies or placement agencies. \n\n\n\nWe are in need of canteen volunteers in Berks County\, Northern Berks County\, Montgomery County\, Chester County\, and the Boyertown area. Every two seconds\, someone needs blood. Please consider helping us make sure it is available.

SUMMARY:Walk for No More
DESCRIPTION:Join Safe Berks for the 2026 Walk for No More on Saturday\, June 20\, at The Mills at Sly Fox Brewery in Wyomissing. This annual community event brings together survivors\, advocates\, families\, businesses\, and supporters to raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault while standing in solidarity with those impacted by abuse. \nThe morning begins with registration and light refreshments at 8:30 AM\, followed by a special program hosted by Luis Serrano. During the program\, Safe Berks will present the Voices For Change Awards to Helping Harvest and Berks Coalition to End Homelessness in recognition of their outstanding commitment to strengthening our community and supporting vulnerable populations. \nFollowing the awards presentation\, participants will walk together along Penn Avenue\, demonstrating that survivors are not alone and that our community stands united for safety\, healing\, and hope. \nRegistration is free\, though donations are appreciated to support the life saving services provided by Safe Berks. Registrations submitted after May 23 are welcome\, and shirts will be available while supplies last. \nFree parking is available onsite. We look forward to coming together to walk\, honor resilience\, and create a future with No More violence.
