A Promise Made. A Promise Kept. A Promise Nearly Fulfilled

For more than four decades, Rotary has led one of the most ambitious public‑health missions in history: the complete eradication of polio. Since 1979, Rotarians have helped immunize over 2.5 billion children in 122 countries, driving polio cases down by 99.9% and protecting generations from a disease that once paralyzed hundreds of thousands each year.

Rotary District 7430 and local Rotary Clubs have been part of this story — raising funds, building awareness, and standing shoulder‑to‑shoulder with global partners to ensure every child receives lifesaving protection. Today, the world is closer than ever to ending polio forever. But the final 0.1% is the hardest, and it will take all of us to finish the job.
