Please join us for a free community emergency preparedness fair! This is a fun, family friendly event to help prepare our Berks community for emergencies through practical education and hands-on demonstrations. There will be booths on water purification, family evacuation plans, generator usage, making a 72-hour kit and car kits, pet safety, emergency communication planning, Dutch oven cooking, using a fire extinguisher, budgeting for emergencies, and more. Fun for children will include touch a truck, compliments of the Muhlenberg Township Fire & Rescue and the Muhlenberg Township Police Department. There will also be sandbag filling races and a fire safety obstacle course. Join us for a free hot dog lunch and the opportunity to win emergency items for your home.
