Ice Harvesting Demonstration at the Dreibelbis Historic Farm in Virginville

Learn how ice was harvested on a Pennsylvania German farm in the 1800s. Actual antique tools will be demonstrated. If there’s ice, we cut blocks from the ice pond. Presentations begin at 2:15 and 3 pm. Refreshments available at a bonfire. Horse-drawn Wagon Rides (and if snowy, a sleigh) available for a small fee. Nature Trail along the Maiden Creek will be open. A great reminder of old-time rural life. Free Admission. Dress appropriately for muddy or icy lanes.
